Angels Family Foster Network

The economic downturn of 2008, put many of Local 206's members in a bad spot when it came time to put Christmas presents under the tree for their kids. We helped each other during those times, and collected money to help get toys under those trees, until it was no longer needed. We didn't want to stop there, knowing there were kids still left without toys under their tree's. So the Campaign for jobs members went looking for a place to help those less fortunate than us. That's when we found the Angels Fosters Family Network.

SMART 206 Rocks Red Shoe Day!!

Local 206 had a GREAT fundraising event for Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego, better known as "Red Shoe Day". Standing on the corners of Del Cerro Blvd and College Ave, 19 volunteers consisting of Local 206 members, their families and friends of local 206 collected a little over $2700.00 to help out kids in need.

Local Member Benefits In Car Purchase

A short time ago we began a search for local companies that were willing to assist our members with their regular purchases.  We have our first success story.  Local 206 member Michelle Francis recently visited Kearny Pearson Ford in an effort to get pricing on a new car.  One of their lead sales representatives, Ben Diaz, stepped up and made things work out.  Congratulations to Michelle and huge thank you to both Kearny Pearson Ford and Ben Diaz for helping out Local 206.  If you happen to be in the market for a vehicle please let us know so we can tell Ben who is coming by to see him.
