LOCAL 206 VITAL STATISTICS:

JURISDICTION: San Diego and Imperial County

MANPOWER CAPABILITIES: 425 building trades journeymen and 105 building trades apprentices active in Local 206 + 58,000 building trades journeymen active in 80 local unions throughout the United States.

TYPES OF WORK: Heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC), air and water balancing, sheet metal roofing, architectural sheet metal, sign erection and fabrication, specialty sheet metal fabrication, industrial, service work, welding, and indoor air quality and energy management.

INTERNATIONAL TRAINING SYSTEM: Local union training programs supported by the International Training Institute (I.T.I.), $7.5 million invested annually to provide nationwide standardized apprentice and journeyman training.

LOCAL 206 FRINGE BENEFIT PROGRAMS: All journeymen and apprentices covered by health insurance plan (includes life insurance, dental, eye care, prescription drugs), 2 defined benefit pension plans and a 401(a) plan.

CONTRACTOR BASE: 34 signatory contractors, all sheet metal applications and specialties. Additionally we have a nationwide base of signatory contractors.
